What are obesity problems? Medical science considers that obesity is a disease. So, it would be better for us to belief their statement. Dictionaries define obesity as excess fat in body and it is not defined as behaviour. Many define obesity in concurrence to lack of physical activity and over eating. But this does not hold true as it is not a definition but some of the causes of it.
Almost every society considers obese persons are – worthless, bossy, lacks character, corrupt and lethargic so they are discriminated in almost every walk of life. And the psychological aspects of an obese person are – low self-esteem, body image disparagement, low marital satisfaction and bad eating behaviour.
But what the most intriguing feature of obesity is the medical hazards associated with it. Medical complication related to obesity includes - hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, coronary heart diseases, strokes, gallbladder disease, sleeping disorder and various kinds of cancers. So, one must take care of obesity to stay away from such complications in future.
An average person considers that because of lack of willpower only a person gets obese. So a person is frequently made an object of discrimination. But it is not only the lack of will power that determines obesity but it is a complex phenomenon and is deeply rooted in biological systems. So, obesity can be because of a number of causes. It is may be caused by genetics, physiology, biochemistry, neurosciences plus psychological, cultural or environmental factors.
